The cancellation policy at Charly Cares

At Charly Cares, we do everything we can to help you find a suitable Babysitter Angel whenever you need one. In exceptional cases, you may need to cancel a babysitting booking. How does that work, and what are the consequences? You can read about it on this page.

Consequences of your cancellation

Do you have an accepted booking? Of course, you count on the Angel to come when you have scheduled it. But the Angel also counts on the babysitting service and the expected income. That is why you are not supposed to cancel without good reason. For you as a parent, cancelling has the following consequences:

48 hours or more in advance

No charges: you let us know in time that the babysitting service can't go ahead.

At least 48 hours in advance

€3.99 service fee + 0 hours payout to Babysitter Angel

At least 24 hours in advance

€3.99 service fee + 1 hour payout to Babysitter Angel

At least 3 hours in advance

€3.99 service fee + 2 hours payout to Oppas Angel

Exception:
If a booking is cancelled within 30 minutes of acceptance, no cancellation fees will be charged. This is for example for situations where a mistake has been made or the sitter is no longer needed. Except for last-minute bookings up to 3 hours in advance, since the Angel is often already on the way or busy preparing.

Angels can also cancel themselves

To give our Oppas Angels more flexibility, they can now also cancel a babysitting job in the app. In doing so, they enter a reason and are required to send you a message explaining why.

How often they cancel affects the Angels' profile, because our Customer Care team closely monitors how often an Angel cancels. This is how we safeguard quality and may part ways with Angels who cancel too often.
