What do you find important while babysitting?

"I study Social Pedagogical Assistance. So I know quite a lot about children and their development. I always bring this into my babysitting services. That way, I can quickly see how children are and what they like. Then I can easily respond to that to do really fun creative things with them, which makes them say 'Ahh! When is Bregje coming again?'. I find that super fun and important to hear, because then I know they really had a good time."

What was the biggest challenge for you?

"I once had to babysit a little boy who wasn't feeling well and kept asking for his mother. So I called his mother and asked if she could come home from work earlier. She indicated she would come home as soon as possible, but in the meantime, he had thrown up quite a bit, and I felt so sorry for him. I tried with all my might to comfort and calm him until his mother got home. That was really a challenge."
