That can vary a lot. During the day, children are often at school, except for the little ones. You will look after them until the older children come home from school. You can read books, go outside, or put them to bed for a bit. When the children get out of school, you pick them up. You decide how the day goes! Head outside, for example with a visit to the playground or the park? Or did you plan to bake cookies or do some crafts? Also great! With an evening shift, things are just a bit different. If the parents haven't put the children to bed yet, you will do that. After that, you can do something for yourself while the children are sleeping. Which one do you go for: during the day or in the evening?
