Ratings & reviews: how can I improve my rating?

Honesty and transparency are highly valued at Charly Cares. That is why both parents and Angels can rate each other after the babysitting job. That is nice for you when you see a new family in the app. But your rating is also important for parents; it helps them see that you are, for example, reliable or proactive.

Parents give you a rating based on 5 different topics. Are you curious how you can improve your rating in these areas? We'd be happy to give you some tips.

Leave kids with a good feeling

Parents leave their children behind feeling good when they think you know what the intention is

Arrive on time for the booking, so the parent has time to explain things to you.

Also ask questions yourself, for example about: bedtime, allergies, house rules, and what the children like to do

Interaction with children

When you arrive, try to give the children some attention right away. For example, ask if they would like to show you their room or favorite toy.

Don't spend too much time on your phone and don't just watch TV with the children: they love it when you put energy into them. Make it a fun day/evening!

Honors agreements

Please arrive on time for the booking: the parent probably has an appointment they need to attend.

Keep the children's bedtime in mind

Take the children's screen time (television, iPad, etc.) into account

Clear communication

Give the parents an update halfway through the babysitting shift. For example, when the children are sleeping, when they have eaten, or if you have been playing outside. That gives them a good, reassuring feeling!

Also mention at the end of the babysitting session if anything special happened.
