She also completes the mandatory iDIN check to verify her identity and provides references. A recruiter from Charly Cares checks the profile and may ask for additional information about her experience.
References
It's important that the Babysitting Angel already has babysitting experience. That’s why they provide references from previous babysitting families or, for example, from a family where they worked as an au pair. Many Angels have also coached children's sports or led other activities. Only after these references have been verified can the Angel proceed.
Ratings & reviews
After each babysitting service, the parent provides a rating & review to evaluate the Babysitting Angel. We continuously monitor these reviews at our office. Selecting 10 Angels yourself? Write a personal message and send the request, then wait for the Angels to respond. If one of them accepts, your request is successful.
If you choose Jobboard, write a personal message and post your request to Jobboard. All Angels near you will be able to see your request and respond. In the end, you decide who ends up babysitting.
What types of Babysitting Angels do you offer?
At Charly Cares, you can find several different types of Babysitting Angels. Some Babysitting Angels are available to support a family on a fixed basis, whereas other Babysitting Angels prefer to babysit only occasionally. There is always a babysitter who fits your babysitting needs, whether you are looking for a fixed, after-school, flexible, or last minute babysitter.
We do not have any au pairs or nannies. We do have fixed Babysitting Angels who are available to babysit at fixed times every week. Do you need a babysitter for multiple days every week? In that case, we advise that you book multiple Angels.
Are all Angels screened and what does the screening entail?
Before an Angel can start babysitting via Charly Cares, we meet the Angel personally. 2 references are also checked at first. During the meeting, we dive into motivation, experience and personality. But ultimately, it is up to parent and Angel to judge whether there is a good match between the two parties. We therefore recommend a personal introductory meeting before the Angel comes to babysit.
What is the hourly rate of a babysitter?
Angels are able to choose their own hourly rate, so it can be different per Angel. The hourly rate varies between approximately €7 and €20 per hour.
